Brighton Concorde Review

27/5/08, by Chloe Yates

First Feeder tour for eighteen months you say? It’s a preview album tour? At small intimate venues?! So when Kev texted me 3 words: Brighton, Road Trip? It took me all of ooooo 30 seconds to say hell yes!

I’d been fortunate enough to be invited to the March Album Listening Party at Echo HQ where we got to hear the album twice through and were asked our opinions – considering my reaction to most of it had been “will be awesome live” , news of a club sized tour had left me rather excited, to say the least. Having relocated from Nottingham to London such things as rent sadly now take financial priority, so I managed to restrict myself to only buying Brighton tickets, though I only managed to resist the lure of Bristol, (It’s a boat! And Feeder! And 300 people!), after my housemate hide my purse until it had sold out in record time. (Thanks Stace, I owe you cake!)

From getting to the Album Chart Show recording and also bumping into Mark at a couple of iMMa gigs (www.myspace.com/immarock, check ‘em out!) news had emerged that Live Feeder would now come with 100% extra Dean, with the addition of ‘CeeCee’ Dean Duvell on keyboards (usually seen with Spider Simpson www.myspace.com/spidersimpson) and that there would be “lots of new stuff” played on the tour. Then the realisation that Brighton was the day before Mark’s birthday led to a plan being formulated to take him a home-made birthday cake along with a card and little pressie. And what kind of cake is deserving of the Feeder drummer I hear you ask? Well one fashioned in the likeness of Animal from the Muppets of course! What better way to spend bank holiday Monday than by roping your housemates into painting marshmallows, sorting rainbow drops and all-in-all creating a baking masterpiece?

Day of the gig dawned with safely escorting Animal on a bus and two tubes to Wembley Park to be picked up by Kev. An hour later we found the way to the M25, following the “suburban route”, and Kev assuring me he did know the way to Brighton! We got down to Brighton just before 2pm, finding a convenient parking space right by the venue, where the crew were busy taking the equipment in. Kev met up with a mate of his at uni in Brighton, and I awaited the arrival of fellow FFSer and resident Brightonian Clare. While Kev & friend went for chips, Clare & I went to meet Italian FFSer Eli by the Pier and wait to hear from Candida of Feederweb to pass on Marks’ cake to her. In the meantime cue frantic texting from Andy who was struggling to find the venue and a parking place... “I’m in-between the piers!” so head east...... “Right... I’ll just get my compass out....”

Having agreed to delay the Shakeaway visit and wait for Andy at the Pier, we’re chatting by the traffic lights when... first Feeder spot of the day, Grant and Dean2 crossing the road behind us with shopping bags, and heading towards the venue. Candida then texts me to say she’s arrived if I want to give her the cake, so I start walking back towards the venue... only for 30 seconds later Clare to ring me saying “come back, come back now cos here is Mark and Dean!” I do a rapid about-turn back to The Pier and hand over a bag of cake & gifts to Mr Richardson, rather rudely interrupting him on the phone leaving a message for ex-Skunk band mate Ace (sorry!). I get a “Hi Chloe!” and a hug before showing him the cake and saying Happy Birthday for the following day. “That’s awesome, thank you!” before showing it to Dean “look at this!” - prompting an enthusiastic response from Mr Tidey “Cake??! Oo! We were just saying we need some cake!” (Sees it’s of Animal) “Ahh cool!” He then apologises for being on his phone “but I’ve been trying to send this text for 30 minutes” (Mark – how rude!) before Mark looks at me and suddenly says “but... what shall I do about your Tupperware?!” Thankfully I’d already given this some thought, “Give it to Erika and she can pass it on to me at the iMMa gig next month!” (Seriously: www.myspace.com/immarock, fab music!). “Ahh of course! Ok!” There’s a few more minutes chat, with Dean suddenly spotting Eli and asking “but, have you come all the way from Italy just to see Feeder?”, before Big Pete & Nance creep up behind me, dig me in the ribs and say Hi. And then Andy pops up as well. Conversation with Mark and Dean includes the tour so far, tattoos and Dean putting me on the spot asking how many times I’d seen Feeder. (Off the top of my head at the time was “10 or 12”, recent count-up including Brighton reveals it’s actually 14). Then, just to complete seeing the quintuplet; Taka pops up, complaining to Dean “I’ve been trying to ring you!” with Dean protesting “well I’ve been trying to text you for half an hour!” Taka is looking 10 years younger with his natural dark hair, though I’m not too sure about the ginger splodges! He then presents Mark with a carrier bag, presumably containing his birthday gift – a Toilet Golf set, much to Mark’s delight! At the time I didn’t really want to know what Toilet Golf consisted of but have since been informed it’s a game designed to improve the users’ putting skills while they have a poo... lovely. The mind boggles – did Taka know in advance he wanted to give Mark this and specifically seek it out in Brighton shops, or was he just browsing, spotted it, and thought immediately of his drumming band mate? I’m not certain which of those options concerns me more!

Anyway, the boys then make their apologies and head off back to the venue for some interviews, Andy goes off to park his car at the venue and the rest of us head towards the shops, Eli, Clare & I finally hitting Shakeaway and directing Pete & Nance to Bravissimo. After some shopping we go rescue Andy from a hungry seagull “I’m by a subway!” “Which one of the 4 would that be??” before meeting Kev back at The Concorde at half5 to join the queue of about 15 people and saying ‘Hello’ to Feeder gig regulars Marcus, Bex, Darren and Mr B. Kev & Andy then went off to the chippy, and then Dean, Mark with a few other peeps came out of the venue and walked past, Mark giving me a nod when he saw me, and then maybe cos he spotted the iMMa t-shirt, giving me double rock horns in salute. When Kev & Andy finally arrive back with chips, I ask Kev “did you see the boys? They just walked past that way”, Kev: “No... huh, no fair”, Andy : “yes we did... they asked where the chippy was!” Kev: “THAT WAS MARK & DEAN?! Ahh no!” bless ya Kev, next time dude!

Finally, it was time to get into the venue, and we positioned ourselves Taka side, at the barrier. First time to Brighton Concorde and oh my, awesome tiny character filled venue – love it, I’ll definitely go back. Support act were Your Army (http://www.myspace.com/yourarmy) and they were pretty good, female fronted and rocky, I’ll keep an eye out for more things from them, Grant & Mark stage-side seemed to be enjoying them as well. Then the stage gets properly set up for our boys – Mark’s drum kit sporting the funky Silent Cry flying bird on his bass, and a little bundle of Animals are to be seen sat by the side – good to see them back.

18 months on, the boys appear to rapturous applause, no dilly-dallying around, its straight into Feeling A Moment and then Shatter. Feels to me like they’ve never been away, but oddly not many of the crowd seem to be jumping around – I feel a bit self-conscious like I’m the only one moshing, fortunately that doesn’t last long! Grant says hi and it’s good to be back, commenting on playing a proper “punk-rock” venue, before they launch into lead single We Are The People. Wow – what can I say except epic live! From that it’s into Miss You – which as much as I’m quickly loving WATP live, Miss You for me is that level up – rocking brilliant Feeder at their very best. CBA is next; resulting in my usual manic air-drumming (has to be done) and we then get another newie, possibly my fave so far in Itsumo (Japanese for ‘always’). As awesome live as I suspected it would be, but with numerous people all singing along – prompting Grant to ask “who’s illegally downloaded the album then?!” cue numerous hands in the centre going up, Grant saying “the power of the internet eh?” and looking distinctly unimpressed. Bloke central then shouts out “but if will buy it!” prompting a laugh and Grant checking that we all would indeed buy it... Numerous calls for other new tacks, predominately 8.18, before someone shouts out “Tracing Lines” – Grant asks if they’ve seen the set-list because the next track was indeed this little beauty – second single anyone? Wouldn’t surprise me in the least (if that’s right, you heard it here first folks!). We then get a few shouts for Emily and Sweet 16 – and Grant banter wise is in good form. Usually the shouts for the older stuff are met with no reaction, but not tonight... “Christ, how does that go? I don’t remember how it goes!” as he stands with his guitar trying out chords to remember it – we even get a bit of the intro of Sweet 16 and Polythene Girl – Grant mate, please please hang onto that spark and go rehearse them!

Next it’s straight into another new track, Guided By A Voice, which sounded awesome, and then one of my all-time favourites in Just The Way I’m Feeling - following which Grant takes the opportunity to introduce new Dean (or CeeCee) to us. By this point it’s getting hotter and hotter and hotter in the venue and a few lads in the middle start asking Grant to turn his fan round – and Taka duly obliges. Mark, spotting me at the front and giving me a grin and a nod, can see a few of us are suffering, so says something to bass tech Punky who promptly chucks me 2 bottles of water to pass round – cheers! Pushing The Senses is up next, and after a slow start the crowd are well into things now, and new track Sonorous goes down a treat. This is one that for me at the listening sounded a bit odd and disjointed but live is just brilliant, slow parts before completely rocking out.

Grant then says it’s time for “something from our first album, we’ve pulled this one out of the closet”. Idly thinking back to 2005 winter tour and that maybe this means Shade, or Cement I can barely believe it when he introduces My Perfect Day. Just wow, cannot describe how chuffed I was to hear this; I know it’s one of Mark’s favourites of the older stuff and it did not disappoint – even going a bit Descend-epic in the middle. Part of me suspects they’ve got this one out in preparation for Reading/Leeds with being on before Slipknot, but whatever the reasoning I hope it sticks around for the October tour. New track number 7 on the night is Fires – another that wasn’t so instant for me at the listening but comes into its own live – bit of a fest classic in the making I think.

If I thought MPD was going to be the best surprise of the night, I was wrong. Introduced as “something from the second album” Grant then made my year by going into Yesterday Went Too Soon. This was probably the point of the night where I looked most like a crazed loon – but I don’t care, been waiting for so long for this to make a comeback, being frustrated at its appearance on set-lists in the recent past without it actually being played (Redbourn, Coronet, Roundhouse). It was even more glorious than I ever hoped it could be – again, please Grant, keep it in! Last track before the encore was Lost & Found – Grant throwing us all completely by beginning it by singing Foo Fighters All My Life – nice touch!

Coming back on for the encore, Taka, the legend, brought over a pack of 20 or so bottles of water which Mr B proceeded to pass back to the suffering masses – perfect timing to wave one in the air along to High. Grant came and stood on the speakers’ right in front of us to conduct us in singing the last chorus – earning us the only “Bewdiful” of the evening. Lovely moment, but sadly then, we had come to the last track. It was, as ever, Just A Day, with doo doo doo’s ringing out from us all. Nutty crowd, by now sweating profusely, moshed as hard as ever to this – and at the end first Grant and then Taka came and shook hands with us at front right.

And that was it – couldn’t take the grin off my face, 7 new tracks all of which sounded awesome, 2 classics that I never thought I’d hear live, for once no Buck Rogers (keep it for the fests), smallest venue I’m ever likely to see them in (apart from shop in-stores) and a band playing like they’ve never been away and obviously loving every minute of it! Hot, Sweaty and Aching – but it’s always worth it. Time to say hi and bye to familiar faces, envy those who still have a couple of gigs left and start to count the days to an October tour – rumoured to be academy sized venues and lots of them. Trust me – you will want a ticket to these dates, and Silent Cry –can’t wait to own it, Feeder are back with a vengeance – time to enjoy it!

  1. Tell All Your Friends- Echo Park

Staring out to reach a star

    Contemplating life on mars

    Life's a cover magazine

    I'm an eggshell under feet

Till I see this house under pale blue skies

With golden fields that will burn your eyes

So let's take a drive underneath the sun

    New intentions all around

Put the brakes on, slow it down

Trying to find a new release

Find a space that you can breath

But I've seen a house under pale blue skies

With golden fields that will burn your eyes

So let's take a drive underneath the sun

But don't come around, pulling me down

Telling the world how I let you down

    Just tell all your friends

    I wanna dream with you

So tell all your friends and neighbors too

    CNN BBC world news

Tell all your friends I wanna dream with you

    Tell all your friends

    Tell all your friends

    Tell all your friends

I don't wanna sit here catching flies

Cause I have seen this house under pale blue skies

With golden fields that will burn your eyes

So let's take a drive underneath the sun

But don't come around, pulling me down

For those of you who were disgusted at the way Feeder's performance of "Just The Way I'm Feeling" was handled by Blink TV on Channel 4's Sonsiphere highlights, then up there ^ is a YouTube link to "Buck Rogers" which shows the band and only the band, and not annoying random people enjoying their festival acting like fools!.

Last time I saw Feeder was at the Nowich UEA, hope they come back there and play "Descend", been long missing from the setlists!!.

When people listen to the song, they only really take into the energy of the track, if you read the lyrics at the same time then you see the track from a different angle. It's like "Just a Day"- everyone at live gigs is chanting the do-do-do back at the band, getting all sweaty leaping up and down, but if you look into the lyrics they're actually very sad in emotion. Having said that, this is one of the things I love about the band. Raygun tried saying that about their music in that embaressing 4PLAY TV feature a few weeks ago!.

Anyways, here's the lyrics for "Descend" if you like to read them while listening to the track! :). Don;t think any other version of the song will beat that one they played at the Warchild Coronet gig!.

    Sitting back I only wish

    Today will turn out fine

    And wash away the stain

    The poison in my eyes

    What do you recommend?

    I feel my life descending

    I'm falling out of reach

Catch me as I bleed (again)

    I"m not insane

    Can't reach the pain

    CHORUS:

If I could be all by myself

    I could be me

If you could see, live with my pain

    The thoughts that I keep

I hate the way they are

    Their patronising thoughts

Tried to get inside my head

Ask the question I have read

But one thing makes it hard

Feel so fragile as I cry

    So confused yet so alive

    So abused the system lied

    You lied to me

    I'm not insane

    Can't reach the pain

    CHORUS

    Alone ....alone

    Hands appeared around my neck

Felt so hard to breathe I stared

As my focus turned to haze

    I could see them

    I'm not insane

    Can't stand the pain

    CHORUS

  4. ^^ Simply amazing songwriting there Mr Nicholas, but the older you got the better, just like a fine wine!.

  5. Looking through the window shade

Stare at streets that bear no name

Now it all looks strange to me

    Yesterday seems like a dream

But I often try too hard

To break the routine of my day

Turn around, see what I see,

    Can't help wishing it would

    Change...

    Change again, change again

    Unchain myself, I will

See the faces in the crowd

    Busy streets they move around

    Underground seems such a drag

    Waiting still and then we

    Change...

    Change again, change again

    Unchain myself, I will

The more I see, the more it hurts

The more we change, it all seems worse

The more I see, the more it hurts

the more we change it all seems...

    See tomorrow

    See...

    See tomorrow

As it drags me there I fell

    A sense of urgency unveil

What's in store for us today?

    Read the paper, drift away...

    Drift away, away

Oh how I hate to feel this way

    (Change, change again)

The more I wait for it to change

(Change again, change, unchain myself, I will)

The more I see the more it hurts

    (Change, change again)

The more we change it all seems worse

    (Change, change again)

The more I see the more it hurts

    (Unchain myself)

The more we change it all seems...

  6. "The more i see, the more it hurts,

The more we change it all seems worse."

So true, change is not always for the better and that song is brilliant. They should have kept "Waterfall" on Polythene 2 though.

  7. As for "Sentimental", what a song!!!, Feeder go grunge this is for me and can't wait to hear it when it's on the album. Apparently Grant said it's not finished yet so might do some more lyrics on it and add extra verses or guitar parts.

As for the b-sides, so damn right. When I first got into Feeder during the "Echo Park" era, I eventually got all the singles and realised that most of those tracks would not sound out of place on any album. It made me see a different side to the band as well :). "Bring it Together" on "Forget About Tomorrow" may be short, but is a really energetic track that would also be a good track to put at like track 6 on an album as an interlude.

  8. WELL SAID SOH!!!, this is something Carlos and Matt the twat don't appreciate, I many other fans I know can't stand these "Feeder are not the same band anymore!", "Grant's voice is not as good as it was!". UGH, move on and enjoy the music!, the majority of fans can't stand hearing this at all, it's only the minority who moan.

  9. Oh. my. sweet. jesus.

"Temper Temper my little friend"?, i think you need to go back to Kindergarden, you used an upper case letter TWICE there, and using pathetic childish phrases like "little friend" only makes you look like even more of a little prick than you already are. I'm not trying to sound clever, and I DO have an argument unlike you, you Feeder hater. Call yourself a FAN!?, I think it's you who needs the yellow pages to stand on.

I know nothing about arguments over the internet, more like you do instead as you seem to love starting them up.

Your message was childish, pathetic, and if you you're really think what you said made you look clever then you're terribly mistaken.

I've had a tough week especailly after seeing Ipswich still fail to win a match so far this season, and to read your message made me crackup and cheered me up.

Keep em coming you sad twat, anybody can smack you in the gob, seeing you're so weak and only have a keyboard to fight with.

"Little friend" was obvioulsly relating to my so-called small height, sad, sad, sad. I bet you're a little 6 year old with nothing better to do than slag bands off on the internet. I'd love to see you stand on your yellow pages and say what you said about Grant sounding like an old man to his face. You wouldn't have the guts.

Time to bum off baboon boy!, and keep the insults comnig left right and centre!, I need a laugh!.

  10. "Sentimental" is a very heavy song. Remember me on Nirvana, BUT NOT ON FEEDER ! ! !

What is happening with this band?

What is happening with Grants voice?! !

I don´t like this NEW Sound, I miss the older sound. "The more i see, the more it hurts,

The more we change it all seems worse."

    cheers!

  11. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.........Temper Temper my little friend. You finished swearing? It makes you look really really clever! I love your argument......you havent got one... Your just swearing alot!!! You must be about 8 years old if you swear that much! hahaha. Thats Hilarious. And how exactly would you smack me in the gob....you'll need some yellow pages to stand on first!

I assume you have a lot of arguments over the internet....you seem to know alot about them! I also assume you lose alot by them comments! haha

  12. I just got a hold of all feeders b-sides. Man, i've been missing out. The Song Crash Mat is so good! of course Emily is one of my favorite feeder songs that i've liked for awhile as is Satelite News. The difference between Uk bands and American bands is that the brits release so many b-sides! i love it! I love FEEDER.

  13. I have issues with that word beginning with the letter C, but you made me angry rather than annoyed meaning you made me use it.

If you go onto a Feeder FAN site and bad mouth the band, expect to take critisim for it.

Arguing on the internet is like winning the special olympics, even if you win you're still retarded.

Welcome to the Feeder FAN site shoutbox, I've said my piece and whatever you say back at me I'll gladly ignore knowing how much of a moron you really are.

  14. Stop twisiting things also, you said I was biased towards the band and made a point why I'm not and you twisted round to lake it look like "Who's bashing the band now?".

    Fuck off you sad c*nt.

  15. Fuck off you sad Feeder hating twatface, everyone watches South Park for ***ks sake, and unlike you I am aware that there is a real world out there away from a frickin' plastic keyboard.

I'm not bad mouthing the band YOU ARE, the posters on FFS are ace people and calling me a moron is a very, very sad weak attempt to look tough when you are a little sad weakling who couldn't even harm a fly. You are a f*cking moron who should f*ck off to the looney bin where you came from. You have plenty of gob, but when you are not not behind a computer you can't fight back and have nothing to back it up.

You deserve a massive left hook in the gob, shame us Feeder fans don't know what you look like so we can beat you all up to a bluddy pulp.

  16. Haha, no, i didnt get that from south park, but obvisously you've been spending too much time on your tv and computer world to know that. You don't like the Just a day video? Who's bad mouthing the band now? eh? I give it to posters here, i like em, but f**k me, i'm glad there not as stupid as you! lol. Moron.

  17. It's all the time with any long-running band.

You'll get one half of the fan base bashing the band for not "sounding like their old material anymore" and the other saying they're still a good band as always or even better than they were in the beginning.

It's the price any band pays for evolving with their sound, rather than sticking with the same formula all the time, e.g. Napalm Death.

  18. "Its like talking to christians about evolution! lol."

Watching too much "South Park" are we?, get a life, the real world is outside a computer and a TV series universe. Stop trying to sound clever with silly sounding statements, you only make youself look even more of a twat.

I am not single minded about the band, for a start the "Just a Day" video to me is a pile of poo and "Tumble and Fall" is their worse single.

  19. No shut up yourself, we are not single minded in our views. This crap you're mention about bands not getting all good reviews is shit, look at Arcade Fire- not one bad word is said about them.

I'm getting annoyed with the likes of you spamming this shoutbox. Also, leave the FFS proboarders alone, they're a nice bunch unlike you!.

    Twat.

  20. lol, shut up Annoyed!!!!! I'm starting to get annoyed myself with peoples 1 minded views on here and the boards. Critism is good! A band can't get good reviews contantly!

These boards are turning into 1 minded crap...Its like talking to christians about evolution! lol

  21. Hi all....

Does anyone have a Best Days CD they might like to sell - e-mail me - I will offer a very good price.

    Thanks

    Dave

  22. That's right agree with Matt the twat and his stupid patheitc garbage his gums are chuttering out.

Keep off this website, it's for FANS not trolls to trash-talk the band.

  23. Agrees with matt!

  24. I just feel that Grant's voice has changed after Pushing the Senses.

Silent Cry he had a different voice. He sounds completely different then how he sounded on High and Satelite News and other greats. If he brings back his old voice, whatever they put out will be golden. The voice he's using now makes him sound old.

  25. To those who love Feeder check the jacket (feeder army jacket) I have just posted on e-bay. It is an unique piece of clothing any fan of feeder would love to have!!! I'm going to travel around the world so I need the money...

  26. Go check out the awesome new record by ManOrMouse?

  29. Well said "annoyed". 7 sleepers is not a classic by any stretch of the imagination but for feeder fans its music gold! Still loving it after listening solid for a week now :-)

  30. Keep your brutal flawed opinions off here, this is a FAN SITE.

  31. I am a Feeder Fan since 1998 ( sweet 16)

and i like the sound of SWIM, POLYTHENE and YWTS, but not SEVEN SLEEPERS! That´s my meaning.

  32. how on earh can you say that about "Seven Sleepers"?!, there is no pleaseing anyone.

Jon lee is a legend unlike yourself.

  33. Seven Sleepers E.P.

is the worst record ever!!! This is not the typical Feeder sound i like. Grants voice is not the same like on evry record in the past!

I hope Feeder go back to the roots with the next record.

    Jon Lee forever! cheers.

  34. 7 Sleepers is awesome rock! If you are a true feeder fan then you will LOVE the sound that Grant delivers on these new tracks! Im so addicted to these tracks its unreal...

  35. Listen, download, enjoy.

    http://20thcenturytrip.blogspot.com/

    Cheers!

    cheers Henry.

  37. Why is there an RSS link for the comments but not for the news ??

  40. Sorry, Feeder sale here:

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/norfolk/content/image_galleries/feeder_uea_20081202_gallery.shtml

  44. I remember Mark saying on the Feederweb webchat in 2004, when I was one of the competition winners to meet him on the same day, that he likes BLT as one of his faves :).

Am so relieved everybody is alright :), was a real shocker when I read the headline.

  45. :O thankfully no-one was hurt in the shocking Feeder tour bus fire! - I'd be happy to make up a food parcel for them now all their catering has been destroyed... wonder what kind of sandwiches they like? ;)

  46. *mod mode*

for people trying to access the message boards & finding its either very slow or just not loading at all..... proboards central is having some problems and they're working on getting it sorted. dunno how long will be before back to normal. (ok own up, who started a fire this time? :P)

updates can be seen at http://support.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=support

  47. my FFS Members exclusive Tracing Lines/Silent Cry digipak arrived today.. what can i say, as ever MW you have surpassed yourself! artwork is amazing! *bows in respect* ta mate

  48. Can't wait to see Feeder in november, would have prefered to see them at the historic Astoria but personally Brixton Academy is my favourite venue! Iv been looking at this site for years... thought it was about time to actually say something... Wooooo!...

  49. Helloooo

my luvvies! i hate long breaks at college so i thought i'd say high...erm i mean hi! :P

    xxx

  50. FIGHTSTAR SUPPORTING FEEDER IS MY DREAM GIG BUT I CAN'T MAKE ANY DATES COS I'LL BE IN SOUTHAMPTON :(

no bad words about fightstar they are a ledge band and you will see that when they tour with feeder!

  51. I re-activated my Feeder blog. It has some live music. Check it out!

    Thanks

    http://20thcenturytrip.blogspot.com/

  52. I am loving the mocked up TL / SC single cover, pure genius!

  53. Hello, Feeder rock!

  54. time for fan power once more guys, lets flex our muscles and remind them why we're the best group of fans around, we did it for Shatter, now add your voice to the campaign to get a physical Tracing Lines/Silent Cry release AND a new track!

    http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/feeder/

  55. 'Tracing Lines' release date has been moved from 11th August to 25th August. More to wait! :(

A good thing is that you can download 'Somewhere to Call Your Own' by digital download.

I wonder if the next single will come out on a physical copy as well as a digital one...I hope it does...

New single is on the Feederweb:

    http://www.feederweb.com/releases.php

  56. What the f. The Forum just went down.

  57. oh go on stace, listen to it on the bus... just don't sit next to me while you're doing so!

  58. That is possibly my favourite review...of anything...ever.

I'm never gonna be able to listen to Miss You without laughing away to myself ever again. Maybe i should avoid listening to it on the bus then...hmmmn.

  59. and FFS does it again, brilliant review

(and thank god, someone else agrees that Songs From The Crypt was a much better title idea!)

  60. I'm curious for that review too... I hope FFS will write a good one.

  61. Will we be seeing a Silent Cry review soon?

  62. Nice banner ;D

  63. You're forgiven xD

  64. Feeder! Feeder! Feeder! Feeeeeeeder!

    sorry guys, mad moment :P

  65. Bloody hell, I hate it when a decent album like Feeder's doesn't get well known. I guess give it another month or two, it will probably get more popularity when an advert pops on TV or something.

  66. Agree... Feeder need to come to Australia. If small little indie artists can make it over here, why can't feeder?!

  67. What happened to the lyrics page? Is it being updated?

  68. I love Feeder's new album :]

what i hate is that i live in Australia and they havent toured here since 2000 i think its time for another visit its been so long and its time to come back around again.

what marcus said its so true...plus they deserve more then what they got now but hey at least there selling records and got a good fan-base too

  69. thanks Rach :)

  70. Yeah Suey, it really annoys me, EVERY TIME Coldplay put out an album there's this big media fanfare, but when it's Feeder it's all hush-hush in comparison :-(.

  71. Nothings funny about a mean review when it's band you like. Why is it when Feeder get bad reviews the writer really, REALLY rips into them?!, it don't happen to other bands. Pathetic and childish, that's what it is.

  72. er... yes. Leo's post was so good he had to post it twice.

Chloe, I love yer tour diaries. Ace reading!

  73. I just listened to the album for the first time there now and i blew off a load in my underpants

  74. I just listened to the album for the first time there now and i blew off a load in my underpants

  75. Funny-but-mean review of Silent Cry

  76. Feeder photos from Proud Galleries online now at ThrashHits.com

    cheers

    Raz

  77. it´s a good record, but since Jon Lee was gone, the band has lost the typical "feeder-sound". YESTERDAY WENT TO SOON" is the best record...cheers from germany.

  78. got the Deluxe version and have been listening to it ever since monday! Great album :)

  79. just bought We are the People off iTunes. i love these guys =)

  80. I've just got the new CD, oh... it's marvellous!

It's so great to hold a new Feeder record in my hands! These are the beautiful moments of life! Cheers!

  81. *shouts* :D

    I like this album, lots!

  82. Silent Cry in my hands baby! The three years were worth the wait.

  83. Got my deluxe version through the door today :D

Must say though, the bonus tracks aren't really anything special...oh well, so happy to have the CD in my hands.

  84. Whats with the xmas decorations at the top of the page? ;)

  85. ooooo its all pretty! ta for putting my diary up dude :)

  86. Ooo a new look...very swish!

  87. Love the new look! Looking forward to the reviews...

  88. DJ Rodney Bingenheimer on KROQ in Los Angeles played "Into the Blue" on his show. That was pretty cool to hear.

  89. calling out for days is quality! haven't heard the other bside though cos my parents record player is bust :(

  90. Miss You was on Euro 2008 yesterday. There must be a Feeder fan at the BBC!

  91. summer of sport coming up though, euros, olympics and wimbledon.. bound to be some feeder music in the background there ;)

  92. Thats a shame, cheers Nance

  93. Not sure there will be a TV ad. The Singles had one because of the EMI collaboration...

  94. Yeeeehhhh.

    We're back on

  95. I meant TV advertising, It's just that I am sick of seeing the ad for the new Coldplay album,

  96. How awesome was Bristol! Who's The Enemy, MPD, YWTS, Insomnia, High, All My Life crowd takeover (!) and a chance to see the guys outside before/after the gig. My best Feeder gig so far :)

  97. sue - what sort of advertising do you mean? street teaming has officially started, brighton seemed to be covered in silent cry posters already...

  98. Any ffs'sers that have myspace feel free to add me - www.myspace.com/staceywatkins - :o)

  99. I don't think there's been a "fire". I reckon Pro Boards haven't paid their credit card bills and have had all their servers repossessed.

  100. When are we going to see some advertising for the new single or album.
